Creative Europe Desk Greece in Preveza, Corfu Island and Heraklion, Crete

Three events in a few days in three different cities were held by the “Creative Europe” Desk of Greece, informing cultural and creative organizations about the funding opportunities offered by the European Commission’s Program, “Creative Europe 2021-2027”.

On Monday, May 8, the “Creative Europe” Office of Greece co-organized a very successful informative event at the “Theofaneio” Art Gallery with the Municipality of Preveza.

The cultural and creative bodies of the city and the wider region had the opportunity to be informed about the funding opportunities from the “Creative Europe” Program, as well as other programs of the European Commission that finance culture.

The President of the Municipal Council of Preveza and the Culture Officer of the Municipality, Mr Leonidas Argyros, addressed a greeting and pointed out that the strengthening of cultural activities creates enormous development opportunities in a place, citing as an example of international artistic events which are an institution and attract visitors throughout during the year. The General Secretary of the Municipality, Mr Antonis Bezas, and the Special Councilor of the Municipality, Ms Giota Georgakou, also participated in the event.

On Tuesday, May 9, the “Creative Europe” Desk of Greece was in Corfu, where it organized an informative event, in collaboration with the Region of the Ionian Islands.

  • The main invitations of the Creative Europe program were presented at the event, and in particular:
  • The Cooperation Projects
  • The mobility program for artists and culture professionals (Culture Moves Europe).

The Governor of the Ionian Islands, Rodi Kratsa-Tsagaropoulou, delivered the opening greeting.

Finally, on June 1 and 2, the “Creative Europe” Desk successfully held an informative event in Heraklion, Crete.
