The EU as Guest of Honour (GoH) at Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL) offers EU book sector professionals a favourable opportunity to participate at the Guadalajara International Book Fair, which in brief is explained below and in detail in the attachment to this post.
There is a Call for interest for the professional’s program, specifically aimed at B2B interested book professionals, which might include publishers, editors, literary agents or translators. A part of the programme offers networking opportunities and meetings to enhance exchange between LAC (Latin American & Caribbean) and EU publishers, especially in the right sales department. To facilitate the professional’s endeavours in this field an organized 3-days fellowship programme for which the EU will also cover hotel costs for a limited number of professionals is planned.
A more loose option – for professionals who will come on their own terms and organize their own agenda, is to get a free book fair pass and the possibility to use the EU pavilion facilities.
Both options are described in the Call for interest attached to this email, including the link to the application form (for the organized programme) and registration form (for the pass and pavilion use).
They should apply for the organized 3-days programme by June 9th, the simpler registration form for a free pass is might be open until late Autumn.
