The European Commission publishes research study on impact of COVID-19 on international cultural relations

The cultural sector has been one of the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, and international cultural relations have not been an exemption either. Rather, the social, political and economic characteristics of the pandemic have had deep implications for culture and its role in international relations.

The Cultural Relations Platform launched a study in May 2020, to analyse the impact of the global pandemic on the cultural and creative sectors in the following countries:

— Neighbourhood (South and East)
— Western Balkans
— Strategic partner countries (Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, and the USA).
