The Creative Europe Desk of Greece participated, together with the other 39 Creative Europe Desks, in the meeting held on October 4 and 5, 2023 in Brussels, regarding the definition of the actions and priorities of the “Creative Europe 2021-2027” Programme for the following years.
The meeting was organized by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), which manages funding in the fields of education, culture, audiovisual, sport, citizenship and volunteering. It is noted that it was the first meeting of the Offices held after the quarantine due to COVID-19.
On the first day, the discussion focused on the policies related to Culture, as they were shaped by the Annual Work Program of 2024 and on the successes of the Program. Particular importance was given to the implementation and results of the Cross-sectoral strand of 2023, as well as to the evaluation of the Programme by the EACEA.
Important was the presentation entitled “Creative Europe Goes Green!”, in which projects with “green” content were presented, highlighting the way in which the projects of the Creative Europe Programme contribute to the Green Strategy of the European Union.
On the second day, there were separate meetings of the two sub-programmes (Culture and MEDIA). In the sub-programme Culture, the Desks discussed the cross-cutting priority of inclusion and disability in the cultural and creative industries and in the projects of the Programme. Then the main actions of the sub-programme were discussed, with the emphasis being placed on the European Cooperation Projects, the Culture Moves Europe action as well as the communication management of the Programme’s actions.
