The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has published a new report titled “Advancing Digital Education for Every Learner – Innovative Practices from the EU”, showcasing innovative digital education practices across all 27 EU Member States.
This report is the fourth publication under the European Digital Education Hub initiative and presents two selected good practices from each Member State, illustrating how digital education is evolving across different levels of education and learning environments throughout the European Union.
The practices featured in the report are structured around three key priority areas for European education systems:
- Digital Competences
- The Future Classroom
- Digital Well-being
According to the findings, digital education in Europe is moving beyond fragmented initiatives towards more systemic, inclusive, and competence-based approaches. There is a clear shift towards learner-centred education, stronger pedagogical innovation, and the increasing integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
A particularly important trend highlighted in the report is the growing emphasis on digital well-being, with many Member States developing structured approaches to support students, teachers, and families in navigating digital environments safely and effectively.
The report also underlines the role of these practices in supporting the broader objectives of the Digital Education Action Plan 2021–2027 and the European Skills Agenda, offering valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and cultural and educational stakeholders across Europe.
