The CED Greece infoday in Piraeus was held with great success

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the infoday of the Creative Europe Desk Greece was held with great success at the Municipal Gallery of the Municipality of Piraeus.

The main calls of the Creative Europe Programme of both Culture and MEDIA were presented at the infoday.

The event was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Culture of the Municipality of Piraeus, Mr. Ioannis Hatzialexis, while Dr. Litsa Bafouni, Director of Culture of the Municipality of Piraeus spoke extensively about the cultural actions of the Municipality.

Then the Head of the European Union Department of the Ministry of Culture and Project Manager of the Creative Europe Desk Greece/Culture, Eirini Komninou, presented in detail the general principles of the Creative Europe 2021-2027 Programme, while also focusing on the individual mobility program of artists and Cultural professionals, Culture Moves Europe. Project officer, Konstantinos Trakosas, referred to the main call of the Culture sub-programme, “European Cooperation Projects“, while project officer of the Desk MEDIA, Alexis Tsakoniatis, spoke in detail about the invitations of the MEDIA sub-programme regarding audiovisual media.

Subsequently, two very interesting good practices of implementing Cooperation Projects were presented.

In detail, Ms.Katerina Siabou, Head of the Department of Planning, Organization and Informatics, at the Municipality of Tripoli, presented the Project IM GAME, showing examples of how a Municipality can take part in the Programme.

On her part, Ms.Dimitra Tsiaouskoglou, Cultural Administrator from the Cultural Association “Boulouki” – Traveling Workshop for Traditional Building Techniques”, spoke about the ECHOES (Enhancing Cultural Heritage Skills Across Europe) project.
