The Creative Europe Desk Greece, in collaboration with the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, organized a two-day online informative seminar on February 3rd and 4th, 2026, focusing on the core principles of the Creative Europe Programme (2021-2027).

Day 1: The Head of the EU Department and Project Manager of the Desk (Culture Sub-programme), Eirini Komninou, presented the Programme’s framework and the fundamental principles of European funding tools. Following this, Kostas Trakosas, officer of the Desk, presented the primary call of the Culture Sub-programme, European Cooperation Projects.

Day 2: The second day was dedicated to the Programme’s mobility action, Culture Moves Europe. Desk members provided a detailed analysis of the application procedures for artists and cultural professionals, offering practical guidance for submitting a successful mobility proposal.
Participation and Opening Remarks
The event saw significant participation from cultural organizations, artists, and professionals from across the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace throughout both days of the online sessions.
On behalf of the Region, the Vice-Governor for Finance, Culture, and Volunteerism, Ms. Fani Bacharidou, delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the vital role of European funding tools in fostering cultural development within the local community.
