Culture Moves Europe is the flagship mobility action of the Creative Europe Programme, offering opportunities for artists and cultural professionals to work, create, and collaborate across national borders.
Implemented by the Goethe-Institut on behalf of the European Commission, the action covers all areas of culture and the arts – from visual arts, music, and literature, to dance, theatre, design, architecture, and cultural heritage.
Culture Moves Europe offers two main types of grants:
-
Individual mobility, which allows individual artists or small groups (up to five people) to travel to another European country to develop a project, take part in a residency, or collaborate with other creators.
-
Residency hosts, through which cultural organisations can host international artists, fostering intercultural dialogue and the exchange of skills. (This call will open in December.)
The action aims to promote intercultural cooperation, strengthen the sustainability of international partnerships, and support the professional development of the participants.
Since its launch in 2022, more than 3,000 artists and cultural professionals have benefited from Culture Moves Europe, contributing to the creation of a vibrant and diverse European cultural space.
